Data Scientist

Overview

Metropolis is hiring a Data Scientist to extract insights from large datasets, build predictive machine learning models, and support data-driven decision-making.

What you'll do

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Build and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Design and implement A/B tests and statistical analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytics requirements.
• Communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key metrics.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (e.g., S3, Sagemaker, Airflow).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

Details

• On-site at least three days a week (office-first model).
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
