Overview

Staff Engineer responsible for scaling and operating reliable AI-powered systems, shaping platform architecture, and mentoring engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Design distributed systems for AI agents handling thousands of requests per hour.
• Establish testing, observability, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers building production systems.
• Own the technical roadmap for the AI platform.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to productionize AI capabilities.
• Improve reliability, reduce incidents, and enable safer software delivery.

What you'll need

• 8+ years building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Experience improving system reliability to 99.9% or higher uptime.
• Expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong coding skills across the stack.
• Experience debugging production issues and implementing observability.
• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between ideal solutions and shipped work.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM applications, agent frameworks, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, or vector databases.
• Experience at high-growth companies or in modern engineering cultures.
• Experience with multi-model AI systems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
