Staff Engineer, Contamination Control

Overview

Lead the Contamination Control Engineering team to improve contamination prevention and cleanliness performance across manufacturing operations, reducing triggers/false alarms and accelerating investigations.

What you'll do

• Lead the contamination control engineering team to ensure cleanliness performance across manufacturing operations.
• Improve RTPM machine cleanliness to reduce triggers and false alarms.
• Shorten contamination investigation turnaround time and strengthen proactive contamination control.
• Develop and continuously improve contamination control strategies, standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Drive root cause investigations for contamination excursions, customer complaints, yield losses, and reliability issues using structured methodologies.
• Establish contamination monitoring programs, cleanliness specifications, and control plans aligned to product and customer requirements.
• Lead contamination control projects including cleanroom optimization, equipment/filtration strategies, and particle reduction initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience in relevant manufacturing/cleanroom/semiconductor/related industries.
• 3–5 years of supervisory, team leadership, or people management experience.
• Strong understanding of particle contamination, molecular contamination, cleanroom technologies, and contamination monitoring systems.
• Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies for root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Fishbone, SPC).
• Strong communication skills in English, including verbal/written communication and presentation/reporting.
