Staff /Senior Staff Engineer

Overview

Staff/Senior Staff Engineer responsible for leading advanced engineering research, design, development, prototyping, and testing, and guiding others on complex product design.

What you'll do

• Lead research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of modules, assemblies, or subsystems.
• Translate user needs into design inputs/specifications and produce independent system-level designs.
• Design and select advanced prototyping and testing; lead correction of complex product design issues.
• Develop invention disclosures, patents, or trade secrets.
• Execute customer activities such as voice-of-customer and customer-centric design with stakeholders.
• Work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management for project success.

What you'll need

• 7-12 years of work experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or BioMedical.
• Mentor others using industry standards for design requirements and test strategies per regulations.
• Create and refine engineering documentation such as the Design History file.
• Communicate complex plans and technical information to team members.
• Work with cross-functional units to contribute to R&D procedures and industry standards.

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing complex mechanical/electro-mechanical designs using DFM principles.
• Experience creating engineering drawings/models and using GD&T and CAE tools.
• In-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing/processing methods.
