Staff Software Development Engineer

Overview

Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale distributed systems for financial reporting and analytics. Shape technical direction across products and teams while driving scalable, reliable, and maintainable engineering solutions.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end architecture for ACIO systems.
• Define and communicate distributed-systems standards and design patterns.
• Lead technical strategy and delivery across multiple domains.
• Oversee multi-team, multi-service project execution.
• Mentor engineers in architecture and distributed-systems development.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, latency, and cost efficiency.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years in an architecture or principal engineering capacity.
• Expertise in large-scale distributed-systems architecture and design.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, and streaming platforms such as Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or a similar modern language.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
