Staff Software Engineer SAP ABAP

Overview

Staff Software Engineer (SAP ABAP) serving as a SAP Banking technical consultant for ABAP/SAP domain design, governance, and end-to-end technical delivery.

What you'll do

• Guide SAP domain designs to align with SAP application architecture.
• Identify and design/configure technical build items and test to meet business requirements.
• Prototype solutions with SAP application architects and technical SMEs, seeking SAP standard approaches with low cost of ownership.
• Adopt a “Design to Run” approach to deliver robust, supportable production solutions.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery for critical ABAP components on S/4, improving code quality, observability, and operational excellence.
• Translate business requirements into technical design and prepare technical specification documents.
• Debug complex problems and participate in testing with automation coverage.

What you'll need

• 12 to 15 years of ABAP development experience.
• Expert in SAP ABAP application development.
• Expert in debugging complex scenarios.
• Expertise in performance tuning and parallel processing.
• Strong knowledge of OOABAP design principles.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP Units and test-driven development.
• Exposure to advanced ABAP on HANA (CDS, OData, RAP, ABAP > 7.5).
