Supplier Quality Engineer

Overview

Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring purchased parts meet requirements and performance standards aligned to AS9100 and applicable customer/regulatory rules.

What you'll do

• Own supplier quality performance using metrics like PPM, escapes, and on-time-quality.
• Drive supplier improvement plans and quality-management-system compliance for supplier-related processes.
• Lead supplier qualification activities including risk assessment, process audits, and capability studies (MSA, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan).
• Lead APQP/PPAP for purchased parts and validate special processes and critical characteristics.
• Manage RMA/returns via containment, disposition, and supplier-caused nonconformance MRB and cost recovery.
• Facilitate Supplier RCCA using 8D, verify effectiveness, and prevent recurrence through systemic actions and change control.
• Review supplier process audits, define receiving inspection strategies, and use data/tools to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 8–12 years in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Minimum 5 years in Supplier Quality within Aerospace.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100 and AS9145 (APQP/PPAP), including FAIR per AS9102.
• Experience with RCCA/8D, auditing, special processes, and tools such as SPC/MSA and PFMEA/Control Plan.
• Experience with RMA/MRB, cost recovery, and ERP/QMS workflows.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem solving, and project management.
