Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer - BP MR evaluates, develops and manages suppliers to ensure component quality, process compliance and successful new product introduction.
What you'll do
- Evaluate potential new suppliers through technical capability assessments and assist in supplier selection.
- Execute DFMAT, SAF, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PV&V, FAI, LRA and SICR activities.
- Execute, monitor and control APQP processes during NPI projects.
- Contribute to the Supplier Project Book by documenting supplier quality requirements and expectations.
- Facilitate DfX collaboration between R&D and suppliers.
- Ensure Critical to Quality characteristics are communicated to suppliers and maintained throughout production.
- Execute Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line releases and completion.
- Support supplier improvement and development on APQP.
- Review Supplier Agreements and analyze defects to determine whether they are supplier-caused.
- Coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Requests to address quality issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Process Engineering or Continuous Improvement Techniques.
- Supplier Quality Management.
- Quality Management Procedures and Methodologies.
- Supplier Evaluation Methodologies.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
- Process Validation and Verification (PV&V).
- First Article Inspections.

Details
- Location: Pune.
- For office-based teams, work in-person at least 3 days per week.
- Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
- Field roles are generally performed outside the company's main facilities, at customers' or suppliers' locations.
