Supply Chain Planning Analyst

Overview

Senior Parts Order Analyst in Caterpillar's Aftermarket Parts distribution division, managing high-volume dealer and customer orders with a high sense of urgency.

What you'll do

• Manage high volume dealers and monitor and follow (and at times place) parts orders, including addressing back orders.
• Collaborate with supply base, purchasing, warehouse, quality, product group, etc.
• Build rapport and communicate regularly with the appropriate facility and process partner contacts on order status and details, while developing an understanding of expectations for the business segment supported.
• Hold periodic or as-needed meetings/calls with network customer services staff and expediting teams to address and clarify issues and questions, and stay current on ordering processes, part status and/or system updates.
• Showcase a proactive approach while dealing with critical orders.
• Educate dealers/customers on the technology/process on a need basis.
• Provide analytical study on dealer/customer orders and suggest solutions beneficial to customers and the organization.
• Coach, develop and onboard juniors as needed.
• Improve service fill for dealer/customer orders.
• Be accountable for timeliness and quality of delivery on dealer/customer problems.
• Engage help to identify solutions, and provide cross-functional support.

What you'll need

• Bachelor degree / Diploma (3 years) with equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years of job-related experience in the supply chain domain.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Ability to handle dealer concerns and complaints effectively and negotiate the best solution among many parties involved.
• Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• Should be willing to work in US/EAME shifts.
• May require some flexibility in hours to accommodate dealer discussions.
• Requires no more than 5% travel.
