SW Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer supporting the development, operations, and support of Visa's Identity and Access Management environment. The role focuses on secure automation, integrated solutions, troubleshooting, and AI-enabled process optimization.

What you'll do

• Assess existing solutions, refine requirements, and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Design, develop, and implement capabilities using appropriate technologies and Agile methodologies.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and execute disaster-recovery protocols.
• Apply Generative AI to automate workflows, analyze logs, detect anomalies, and support administrative tooling.
• Collaborate with service, platform, access management, auditing, and infrastructure teams.
• Coordinate with team leads and international colleagues to deliver projects on schedule.
• Innovate and streamline IAM processes using data-science and AI techniques.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on programming experience.
• Experience with at least three programming languages, scripting technologies, or frameworks.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management and core security concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and services in distributed network environments.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery, DevOps, and test automation practices.
• Ability to solve business problems in the IAM or security domain.

Nice to have

• Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, OIM, or Okta.
• Hands-on SailPoint development experience.
• Exposure to AI/ML, AI agents, MCP, or GenAI-assisted development platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux, Bash scripting, REST, APIs, JavaScript frameworks, SQL, Jira, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, or Splunk.
