Systems/Software Engineer I

Overview

Systems/Software Engineer I to design, develop, and execute software quality assurance activities across systems and assigned modules.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data for system and subsystem validation.
• Execute system, functional, regression, integration, and basic performance tests for assigned modules.
• Identify logs, track and verify defects, and collaborate with development teams to support timely resolution.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews to ensure testability and quality coverage.
• Validate fixes and conduct impact analysis to prevent regression issues.
• Contribute to test automation efforts and continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 1-3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Networking certification (e.g., CCNA).
• Understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and defect life cycle management.
• Familiarity with manual testing and basic test automation tools/frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of API, UI, L2-L3 networking protocols, and system-level testing concepts.
• Knowledge of Gen AI Tools.

• Hybrid role with an average requirement to work 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
