Overview
System Architect role within the systems engineering team, owning and defining end-to-end system architecture for automotive powertrain controller programs.
What you'll do
- Interpret and decompose OEM/customer system requirements into system and subsystem architecture.
- Define and maintain system interfaces and document architectural assumptions, constraints, and rationale.
- Lead architecture trade-off studies and serve as technical decision authority for architecture topics.
- Apply MBSE principles and SysML for system modeling and requirement decomposition using an architectural tool (preferably EA).
- Contribute to planning and requirements development for controller eHW and software, including functional safety and cybersecurity aspects.
- Support change control via the Change Control Board and drive closure of system issues using root-cause analysis (e.g., 8Ds).
What you'll need
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering and automotive systems development.
- Experience working in an ASPICE-based process environment or similar.
- Proficiency with MS Project and a task management tool such as Atlassian JIRA, IBM Rational RTC, or Polarion.
- Knowledge of V-Model Development Methodology and Systems Engineering principles.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and guidelines (e.g., INCOSE).
Nice to have
- Experience delivering projects with functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity (ISO 21434).
- Experience in propulsion, power electronics, software, or electric motor systems.
