Senior Engineer- Power Electronics Hardware

Overview

Senior Engineer will develop new vehicle electrification technologies in Eaton’s Mobility R&D team, leading power electronics architecture/design for HV inverter and HV/LV DC-DC converters.

What you'll do

• Lead power electronics architecture/design of HV DC-AC inverter and HV/LV DCDC converters.
• Demonstrate proof of concept from requirements, secondary research/benchmarking, and customer inputs.
• Conceptualize differentiated solutions focused on performance, cost, and reliability versus competitor products.
• Perform verification and validation (V&V) for power conversion designs.
• Develop end-to-end high power density product designs and cascade system-level requirements to subsystems (hardware/software).
• Optimize energy efficiency using physical modeling or simulation tools and mentor team members.
• Lead requirements, architecture, integration, and V&V plans for electric mobility LV/HV power conversion products.

What you'll need

• BTech/BE with 7 to 9 years of experience.
• ME/MTech in Power Electronics & Drives with 4 to 6 years of experience.
• PhD with not more than 2-3 years of experience.
• Experience in electric vehicle new product development.
• Hands-on hardware system design including analog/digital circuit design with 16/32/64-bit microcontroller-based systems and V&V/qualification/certification testing.
• Exposure to digital communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, and I2C.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink and LTspICE.
