Overview
System Engineer for the Web COE, responsible for reliability, security, scalability, and performance of enterprise web platforms.
What you'll do
- Own availability and stability of Azure-hosted web applications across PaaS and IaaS workloads.
- Monitor for anomalies and performance degradation, taking preventive actions before customer impact.
- Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive post-incident corrective actions.
- Design, operate, and optimize Azure solutions using services such as App Services, Azure VMs, and Azure Monitor.
- Support and optimize Sitecore, WordPress, and legacy IIS-based applications in hosting and deployment.
- Build observability via monitoring, alerting, and AI-driven anomaly detection and automated remediation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-2 years experience as a Systems Engineer or Cloud Engineer supporting production web systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell.
- Knowledge of web technologies including IIS, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL, and load balancing.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident management in production environments.
- Ability to identify anomalies and proactively prevent failures and vulnerabilities.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Sitecore and WordPress in enterprise environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML-based observability, AIOps, or automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices, especially Incident, Problem, and Continual Service Improvement.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
