System Operations Engineer - Production Support

Overview

Support production systems and large-scale applications by troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing performance, and improving support processes.

What you'll do

• Resolve complex issues involving applications, systems, databases, and technical services.
• Review technical queries and extract data or perform limited programming.
• Present recommendations for resolving technical queries.
• Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
• Consult internally on tools and technical support processes.
• Provide supported-system information to colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and internal customers.

What you'll need

• At least 2 years of Systems Engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
• At least 2 years of Windows or Linux administration experience.
• Experience using ITRS, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, ServiceNow, Autosys or Control-M, and AiOps.
• Experience with monitoring, incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with databases, application or web servers, and scripting.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Jira, or Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up the listed monitoring and scheduling tools.
• Experience with SSL certificate management.
• Experience with Agile or Kanban methodologies.
