System Test Engineer

Overview

System Test Engineer responsible for configuring project IEDs, developing HMI elements, and executing testing for control/protection and substation automation systems within Grid Automation Systems.

What you'll do

• Carry out configuration of project IEDs and perform associated testing safely.
• Develop HMI work in line with project requirements.
• Test control and relay panels, including Control, Protection and SAS panels, using documented processes and checklists.
• Report hazards/near misses and project testing status, progress, and testing plans to the testing lead.
• Coordinate with testing lead and experts to complete testing effectively.
• Collect and hand over marked-up drawings, testing backups, and CD/software backups per checklist for customer close-out during FAT.

What you'll need

• Strong knowledge of modulation techniques.
• Knowledge of SDH/PDH network standards and MPLS-TP networks.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot customer-facing network setups for FAT.
• Knowledge of L2 and L3 network devices.
• Hands-on experience configuring Linux and Windows-based servers for NMS.
• Experience preparing network configuration according to a channel plan.
• Understanding of tele protection, tele operation, telephony, and data communication services.
