Systems/Software Engineer III

Overview

Systems/Software Engineer III supporting Networking Products with customer-specific testing for releases.

What you'll do

• Provide support for networking products involving customer-specific tests for a release, product, and solution.
• Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software portions and subsystems.
• Analyze designs to determine coding, programming, and integration activities per objectives and guidelines.
• Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation; debug issues and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with project teams and internal/outsourced partners for reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
• Communicate software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution with partners.

What you'll need

• Typically 5-8 years of strong networking experience.
• Routing and Switching experience across eVPN-VxLAN, DCI, Aggregation, and Collapsed core/Aggregation based NW deployment designs.
• Experience with internet protocols: TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6.
• Knowledge in enterprise campus and data centre technologies.
• Comfort with networking protocols including BGP, OSPF/ISIS, ARP, VLANS, MPLS, L3VPN, MC-LAG, LACP, L2VPN, VPLS, Multicast, NGMVPN, EVPN-VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf, and Access Security/DHCP/Dot1x.
• Experience preparing test plans and executing tests for complex customer networks.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python/Pytest/Go or other scripting language) and testing equipment (Spirent and Ixia).
