Overview

Systems/Software Engineer focused on routing protocols and Segment Routing testing for HPE-Juniper high-performance IP routing platforms.

What you'll do

• Own and drive the system-level verification strategy for IP routing platforms.
• Architect, develop, and document functional, scale, stress, and performance test frameworks.
• Partner with software, hardware, and architecture teams to influence early design decisions for testability and robustness.
• Use Gen-AI assisted analysis to review protocol behaviors and identify test gaps, corner cases, and validation risks.
• Translate customer use cases and field issues into targeted validation scenarios.
• Lead complex customer escalations with deep system debugging and root-cause analysis across teams.
• Define and implement advanced test automation strategies and personally contribute critical automation.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 8-12 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VPNs, and Segment Routing.
• Practical experience using Gen-AI tools.
• Proven Python programming and UNIX/Linux environment experience is mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex network issues.
• Background in software testing methodologies including test plan development and execution.
