Tax Associate

Overview

Support indirect tax and SEZ compliance activities, with primary responsibility for GST compliance, input tax credit reconciliation, transaction review, tax accounting, regulatory documentation and stakeholder coordination.

What you'll do

• Prepare GST returns, reconciliations and related working papers.
• Validate outward supply data, e-invoice and e-way bill requirements.
• Reconcile purchase, ledger and GST portal data to identify credit differences and vendor non-compliance.
• Manage SEZ applications, approvals, registers, renewals and regulatory submissions.
• Review invoices, contracts and transactions for GST, reverse charge, credit and SEZ implications.
• Prepare month-end indirect tax accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate audits, notices, regulatory responses and compliance documentation.

What you'll need

• At least 6 months of corporate tax experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience or education.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify and escalate compliance risks promptly.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility for relocation.

Nice to have

• Post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant.
• Certification in SEZ, taxation, GST, IFRS or IND AS.
