Taxation Associate- Mumbai

Overview

Taxation Associate position in Mumbai focused on direct tax and GST compliance, including returns filing, reconciliations, and support for audits and assessments.

What you'll do

• Assist in preparation and filing of income tax returns and ensure timely advance tax and TDS/TCS compliance.
• Handle tax compliance activities including Form 145 & 146 (15CB / CA) certifications and withholding tax notes.
• Compute, prepare, and file monthly and quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and annual returns (GSTR-9/9C).
• Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) against GSTR-2A/2B and monitor e-invoicing and e-waybill compliance.
• Oversee customs rules and input reversals, and coordinate with cross-functional teams/vendors for ledgers & GST input confirmation.
• Support tax assessments, audits, notices, and litigation; liaise with tax consultants for assessment-related details.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of experience.
• Good Excel operating skills.
• Understanding and preparation of accounting entries from a tax perspective.
• Ability to prepare reconciliation statements and support tax provisioning requirements.
• Ability to monitor changes in tax laws and industry trends.
