Overview
Tax Associate supporting US tax compliance for real estate funds, REITs, and corporate entities, ensuring timely filings and assisting with tax planning/research.
What you'll do
- Prepare simple to medium complex tax returns for real estate fund, holding entity, and property partnership (Form 1065).
- Prepare REIT tax returns (Form 1120-REIT).
- Prepare corporate blocker tax returns (Form 1120).
- Prepare state and local tax returns, composite, and withholding filings.
- Support REIT testing compliance through quarterly and annual work.
- Meet client, internal, and statutory deadlines.
What you'll need
- Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (B.Com/BBA/M.Com/MBA).
- Have at least 1 year of experience in US taxation.
- Prefer experience working 1 or 2 busy seasons in the relevant skillset.
- Prefer being an Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Communicate clearly in English with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- Show effective project management for multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.

- May require consistent onsite presence during core business hours and travel to client sites.
- May require extended and/or non-standard hours during peak periods.
