Tax Associate - Real Estate PortCo or Developers

Overview

Tax Associate for Real Estate—help prepare and file US tax returns for real estate funds, entities, and REITs, and support ongoing tax compliance and planning.

What you'll do

• Prepare simple to medium complex US tax returns including real estate fund, holding entity, and partnership returns (Form 1065).
• Prepare REIT returns (Form 1120-REIT) and corporate blocker returns (Form 1120).
• Prepare state and local tax returns plus composite and withholding filings for real estate industry clients.
• Prepare quarterly and annual REIT testing compliance.
• Meet client, internal, and statutory deadlines and complete assigned other duties.
• Conduct tax planning and research on specific tax issues and stay current on tax law changes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (B.Com/BBA/M.Com/MBA).
• Minimum 1 year experience in US taxation domain (preferably 1–2 busy seasons).
• Preferable credentials: Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within deadlines.
• Clear professional communication in English with firm personnel and clients via multiple channels.
