Tax Services Associate - State

Overview

Tax Services Associate (Staff) supporting US federal and state tax compliance for corporate clients, including tax return preparation, workpapers, estimates, and extensions.

What you'll do

• Prepare multi-state tax returns.
• Prepare year-end tax workpapers, estimates, and extensions.
• Assist with corporate tax estimates and extensions.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Resolve tax matters with clients and tax professionals.
• Coordinate team priorities and schedules with resource management.
• Build knowledge of US tax and relevant technologies.

What you'll need

• At least 1.5 years of experience in US taxation.
• Understanding of federal and state tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with OneSource Income Tax, CCH, and GoSystem tax software.
• Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, CPA, or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience at a Big 4, large accounting firm, US-based accounting firm, or in-house corporate tax team.
• Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
• Experience with MS Office or Alteryx.
