Overview
Lead a software engineering team in Singapore to build and evolve Adyen’s Global Cards platform for APAC payment capabilities.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop software engineers for technical and professional growth.
- Translate business priorities with Product Managers into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive technical direction for delivery, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Guide architectural discussions and engineering decisions across the Cards domain.
- Deliver reliable, scalable card payment software across authorisation, routing, settlement, and scheme integrations.
- Act as escalation point for complex technical challenges.
- Improve quality via testing, observability, operational excellence, and developer productivity.
What you'll need
- Experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
- Strong background building large-scale distributed systems using Java or similar backend technologies.
- Experience coaching engineers through technical mentorship, regular feedback, and career development.
- Comfort leading technical discussions and facilitating architectural decisions.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving for complex technical challenges at scale.
- Experience building payment systems or working in the cards payments ecosystem is highly desirable.
