Tech & Solution Architect - Finance

Overview

Lead the design, delivery and ongoing management of technology solutions across Finance capabilities, supporting the Finance transformation agenda. Partner with Finance stakeholders, technology teams and strategic suppliers to define solution requirements, manage technology delivery and ensure governance across the Finance technology landscape.

What you'll do

• Lead the solution architecture and delivery agenda for the Finance functional area across Record to Report (R2R), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controlling, Treasury, Tax and Compliance.
• Partner with Finance, Enterprise Architecture and Delivery teams to define technology strategies, evaluate solution options and deliver scalable, secure and compliant Finance capabilities aligned to enterprise standards.
• Own end-to-end solution architecture for Finance initiatives across SAP, digital platforms, data solutions, reporting capabilities and integration architectures.
• Support business case development, solution assessments and technology investment decisions by defining technical requirements and evaluating platform capabilities.
• Drive simplification, standardisation and value realisation across Finance solutions by promoting platform reuse and reducing technology complexity.
• Ensure governance across Finance technology solutions, including architecture reviews, security, controls, audit requirements, regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
• Partner with the SAP COE and external SI as needed.
• Manage internal and external delivery partners to achieve desired business outcomes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of technology experience in SAP ERP, Finance systems and cloud technologies.
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, including core Finance processes and integrated business operations.
• Proven ability to translate Finance business requirements into scalable technology and solution architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams across Finance, Technology and GBS functions.
• Proven ability to influence at senior stakeholder level across multiple markets with strong networking, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective and targeted communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in distributed delivery environments (on-shore, off-shore and hybrid delivery models).
• Fluent English.
• Strong understanding of Finance technology architecture, enterprise applications and business processes within large-scale transformation programmes.
• Experience designing and governing complex Finance technology solutions across ERP, planning, reporting and analytics platforms.
• Ability to balance business requirements, technical constraints, risk considerations and long-term strategic objectives when evaluating solution options.
• Experience leading solution architecture activities across cross-functional programmes involving Finance, Technology and external delivery partners.
• Understanding of reporting and analytics tools that support financial processes, including SAP BDC, SAC and Datasphere.
