Technical Architect for business applications in Roku Advertising, driving production-grade ML and agentic AI systems to transform advertising operations end-to-end.

What you'll do

• Develop and oversee technical strategy for Roku business applications.
• Drive AI-native transformation of advertising business operations across teams.
• Identify operational pain points and translate them into ML and agentic AI solutions.
• Design and ship end-to-end production ML and agentic systems for decisions and workflows.
• Apply GenAI and LLMs, including building and scaling RAG pipelines and evaluation frameworks.
• Operationalize evaluation loops and define dashboards and Service Level Objectives tied to outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and shaping organization approaches to AI-native systems.

What you'll need

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including technically leading and delivering large-scale assistant or autonomous systems.
• Strong foundation in ML and statistical modeling (e.g., clustering, classification, regression, neural networks, SVMs, anomaly detection).
• Proven experience building and scaling production ML/AI systems, including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, retrieval-based systems, and multi-agent designs.
• Hands-on experience designing, training, tuning, and deploying models for ranking, prediction, recommendation, forecasting, classification, or NLP use cases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps.

• Work style: teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays flexible for remote work (with exceptions based on role or assigned office location).
