Software Engineer - AI Product

Overview

Lead AI product efforts at Figma by developing early-phase AI systems, measuring/improving AI performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring generative AI from inception to implementation.

What you’ll do

• Lead development of early-phase AI systems to enhance user experience.
• Develop systems to measure and improve AI performance and relevance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to direct the future of AI at Figma.
• Break down open-ended AI problems into engineering strategies using machine learning, data analysis, and experimental design.
• Mentor others and promote best practices in data and AI.
• Contribute to hiring by improving the hiring process and recruiting AI talent.

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years developing generative AI products.
• Comfort prototyping and pathfinding new opportunities for 0→1 projects.
• Proven experience implementing full lifecycle of early-phase AI development.
• Experience connecting modeling/analysis tasks with product and business value.

Details

• Full-time role.
• Work can be done from one of the US hubs or remotely in the United States.
• Required to attend in-person onboarding if hired.
