Overview
Build and operate infrastructure software for Netflix's Open Connect content delivery platform. Address availability, scalability, usability, orchestration, data management, and observability challenges across a globally distributed platform.
What you'll do
- Implement microservices for analytics, insights, discovery, and visualizations.
- Design orchestration for thousands of globally distributed appliances and devices.
- Build data models and APIs to manage and maintain the fleet.
- Develop reusable solutions across networking, video, and gaming domains.
- Configure, manage, and observe the Open Connect platform.
- Architect solutions that address requirements across multiple applications.
- Improve existing systems through measured development and deployment.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of expertise in Java or a similar object-oriented language.
- Confidence and experience in debugging and problem-solving.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and application deployment.
- Ability to build and support scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant services.
- Experience designing, implementing, and debugging systems handling large data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of CDN architectures and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS.
- Experience with data stores and streaming services such as MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, or Redis.
- Familiarity with GraphQL or related graph modeling and querying concepts.
- Hands-on Big Data experience with Hive, Pig, Hadoop, or similar tools.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WebSockets.

- Compensation: $388,000–$558,000 annually.
