Overview
Lead technical strategy and engineering delivery for large-scale tax technology applications. Drive architecture, operational excellence, AI adoption, business development, and development of engineering leaders.
What you'll do
- Lead an initial team of 30+ engineers across multiple tax technology applications.
- Design and implement end-to-end architectures for large-scale platforms.
- Guide architecture, critical designs, code paths, troubleshooting, and complex engineering work.
- Own technical decisions covering architecture, tooling, patterns, and trade-offs.
- Drive engineering quality, deployment reliability, uptime, incident response, and release reliability.
- Partner with US portfolio leadership on roadmap execution and operational reporting.
- Drive AI adoption, including AI-assisted development, LLM integration, and agentic automation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 18+ years of software engineering experience with progressive technical leadership.
- Experience leading teams of 30+ engineers across multiple workstreams.
- Hands-on ability to architect, code, debug, and deploy.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API design.
- Experience with .NET/C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python at enterprise scale.
Nice to have
- Experience building or integrating production AI/ML systems.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Experience in financial services, tax technology, or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and agile delivery at scale.
