Technical Lead Architect

Overview

Technical Lead/Architect for Amex GBT’s Global Business Consulting Innovation and Technology team, providing architecture leadership and oversight for consulting application design and transformation.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture and design of scalable, robust application solutions for GBC’s data-driven consulting offerings.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate new technologies into the GBC technology stack.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze business requirements and architect technical solutions.
• Establish and enforce technical best practices, development standards, and governance for application/data development.
• Oversee technical decision-making and alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
• Network with enterprise technical groups to identify integration, deployment, and efficiency opportunities.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience with enterprise technical leadership.
• Experience architecting enterprise-grade platforms with object-oriented design and coding (e.g., J2EE, .NET C#, SOA/Web Services, REST APIs).
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications/system architecture.
• Hands-on architecture experience using AWS services with cloud-native patterns.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools (e.g., Claude code, Copilot).
• Must be willing to work 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends.
• Must be willing to work from Bangalore office location at least 3 days per week.
