What you'll do

• Design, develop, and improve software using engineering methodologies.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integration strategies.
• Ensure secure coding practices and protect sensitive data.
• Apply unit testing practices to support code reliability.
• Review customer technical test results and sign off solutions as acceptable to connect to Barclays Payments live systems.
• Support implementation managers by coordinating and prioritizing workloads.

What you'll need

• Software development experience with industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience with HISO/APACS message layouts.
• Strong coding skills focused on scalable, maintainable, high-performance applications.
• Experience in software design and solution development.
• In-depth technical knowledge in the assigned area of expertise.
• Ability to make evaluative judgments based on factual analysis and attention to detail.
• Experience acting as first or second contact point for customer guidance and continual liaison during development, testing, and implementation.
