Technical Product Manager

Overview

Own a technical product vertical for BJAK’s neobank superapp, from strategy and roadmap through technical design and delivery. The role covers regulated, high-consequence financial products where reliability, compliance, and correct money movement are essential.

What you'll do

• Own a product vertical’s outcomes, metrics, backlog, and acceptance criteria.
• Shape system design with engineering, including ledgering, reconciliation, failures, retries, security, and scalability.
• Balance correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience.
• Translate licensing, KYC, sanctions, monitoring, privacy, and data-residency requirements into product decisions.
• Define appropriate AI use, evaluation, human oversight, and uncertainty handling.
• Ship features behind flags and coordinate launches around partner and regulatory gates.
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation.

What you'll need

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end to end.
• Strong judgement under ambiguity and the ability to challenge and collaborate with senior engineers.
• Solid system-design knowledge covering APIs, datastores, workflows, failure modes, and concurrency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain, or demonstrable ability to ramp quickly.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and defining evaluable features.
• Strong English communication skills.

• Engineering or highly technical product-management background.
• Zero-to-one product experience.
• Experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Experience defining evaluation metrics for ML or LLM systems.
• AI UX and failure-handling intuition.
• Southeast Asia market experience.
