Technical Product Owner

Overview

As a Senior Technical Product Owner, lead the development and evolution of Content Sourcing Systems that enable secure, scalable, and efficient collection of non-realtime data for LSEG Data and Analytics. Own product direction and delivery for tools used by Content Operations and Data Scientists to find, retrieve, check, validate, and transform data.

What you'll do

• Define, prioritize, and deliver desirable, feasible, viable, and secure Sourcing products.
• Own and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for Sourcing Engineering and its core capabilities.
• Act as the interface between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Create the product vision and roadmap, manage the program backlog, identify customer needs, and align ART efforts with business strategy.
• Own and communicate a product backlog of epics and features.
• Lead trade-off decisions balancing customer needs, architectural integrity, and business value.
• Define and deliver platform features that support self-service teams in creating and delivering data products.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and data strategy leadership to shape long-term platform strategy.
• Articulate roadmap, value decisions, trade-offs, and priorities to customers, senior leaders, and non-technical staff.
• Lead large-scale agile delivery using SAFe with the System Architect and Release Train Engineer.
• Manage cross-team coordination and ensure transparency across stakeholders.
• Champion design thinking and user journey clarity so features address real user needs.
• Attend demos and provide approval when deliverables meet business needs.
• Drive ART readiness for PI Planning by coordinating with Product Owners, technology, and Business Owners to align scope and objectives.
• Work with other ARTs to set product goals and roadmaps.
• Promote shared accountability across functions and streams, and proactively call out blockers and risks.
• Champion new technologies and processes while maintaining rigorous security controls and compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
• Drive PI planning to align teams on outcomes, dependencies, and integration.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of professional experience in product management, product ownership, and data or platform engineering or a related field.
• Ability to communicate succinctly with functional teams, partners of all levels, and leadership.
• Product ownership experience working with Scrum teams, attending Scrum ceremonies, and owning the Scrum team backlog.
• Ability to elicit requirements from customers and articulate them in hierarchical user story format: Epics, Features, and Stories.
• Financial services experience and knowledge of data used within financial services.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM education.

Nice to have

• Certification in Agile methodologies, ideally SAFe or similar.
• Hands-on JIRA and Confluence proficiency and familiarity with agile reporting dashboards.
• Knowledge and experience with end-to-end data collection, processing, and distribution processes, including data operations and content operations workflows.
• Exposure to technology platforms, architecture principles, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with value stream mapping, process improvement, and user journey design.
• Strong analytical approach focused on measurable outcomes and business value.

• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Work arrangement: Hybrid and digital first, with attendance at the office at least one day per week; some teams and colleagues choose to collaborate in the office more frequently.
