Technical Program Manager, Silicon

Overview

Technical Program Manager for Anthropic’s custom silicon for Claude, owning end-to-end execution from architecture definition through tapeout, first-silicon bring-up, and production ramp.

What you'll do

• Own the integrated silicon program plan from architecture closure through post-silicon bring-up.
• Drive execution with external partners across ASIC design, IP, foundry, and packaging/test.
• Run technology and IP selection by tracking options, evaluating vendors, and landing build/buy/license decisions.
• Build lightweight program execution mechanisms including milestone definitions, risk/dependency tracking, and release management.
• Manage silicon-to-consumer interfaces for hardware/package/bring-up and hardware-software co-design trade-offs.
• Own post-silicon activities including bring-up planning, ATE/test handoff, sample distribution, validation, and production readiness path.
• Develop AI-assisted approaches for schedule/dependency modeling, consistency checking, deliverable tracking, and status synthesis.

What you'll need

• 8+ years in silicon/SoC program management, chip lead, or an equivalent role owning a chip schedule end to end.
• Direct ownership of at least one program that taped out and reached production, with detailed milestones and issues/mitigations.
• Technical fluency across the silicon lifecycle (front-end, DV, PD, DFT, foundry, packaging).
• Experience running external silicon partners, including SOW scoping, delivery tracking, and escalation.
• Track record of building program mechanisms from scratch in an ambiguous, fast-moving effort.
• Strong written communication for plans, reviews, and exec updates.
• Comfort with high autonomy and limited process on a dynamic program.

Details

• Annual salary range: $365,000–$435,000 USD.
• Hybrid policy: expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time.
• Visa sponsorship is available for some roles and candidates.
