Technical Support Engineer

Overview

Technical Support Engineer providing customer-facing technical expertise for StarTree’s real-time analytics platform, including on-call support for urgent production issues.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve customers’ performance and configuration issues with field technical and engineering teams.
• Provide customer support via tickets and Slack Connect, using Zoom for complex cases.
• Document solutions, best practices, and lessons learned to build the knowledge base.
• Mentor and train team members.
• Share product feedback, feature requests, and trends with development teams.
• Create internal tooling and improve processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support advanced data technologies including vector indexes for AI-driven innovations.

What you'll need

• 4–6 years of experience in Pre/Post-Sales or customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on experience with open-source data technologies.
• Strong OLAP/analytics knowledge with hands-on experience with OLAP, analytics, Kubernetes, and SQL.
• Experience and/or strong understanding of streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka.
• Troubleshooting experience across systems, applications, network, JVM, and Linux-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure patterns and services in at least one of AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

• Location: India (IST timezone) supporting US business hours.
• Schedule: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST, with possible on-call rotation.
