Technical Support Engineer APJ

Overview

Technical Support Engineer for YugabyteDB, working in a customer-focused support organization to troubleshoot and guide customers on technical issues.

What you'll do

• Provide timely, empathetic, and technically sound assistance to YugabyteDB customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving distributed databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and integrations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Documentation to address customer needs.
• Maintain detailed case documentation and follow established support processes.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and support tools.
• Participate in a global on-call rotation for after-hours and week-off support.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of industry experience in a technical role.
• Strong technical foundation in at least two areas: databases, distributed systems, cloud platforms, Linux/Unix administration, or programming/scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, customer-first mindset with patience and persistence.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating across global teams.

• Work mode: Remote (APJ timezone).
• Work hours aligned with early morning IST.
• Weekend coverage required with two fixed, consecutive weekdays off.
