Overview
Technology Operations Specialist (VP) in the Production Support Services team for the TST domain, covering SES, TAS and Trade Finance Lending within Corporate Bank Production Services.
What you'll do
- Provide hands-on production support and operational ownership for applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead incident recovery and perform deep technical analysis across application, infrastructure, database and platform layers.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, user requests and platform issues across GCP services including GKE, Cloud Run and Compute Engine.
- Drive end-to-end recovery for P3H and above incidents using logs, metrics, traces and deployment/configuration change history.
- Improve observability and reliability using GCP observability tools and alert policies.
- Develop automation to reduce toil and improve service stability, resilience and operational efficiency.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of IT experience in large corporate environments with exposure to controlled production support.
- Hands-on production workload support and troubleshooting on GCP with focus on GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Ability to investigate incidents using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Error Reporting, dashboards, alerts, log-based metrics and application traces.
- Kubernetes and GKE operational knowledge including pods, deployments, services, ingress, node pools and kubectl diagnostics.
- Strong troubleshooting across application, infrastructure and platform layers including container failures, scaling, latency and IAM/deployment issues.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and scripting/automation using UNIX shell and Python/other scripting tools.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL/Postgres and Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL.
