Trainee Engineer

Overview

As a Trainee Engineer (Materials), you ensure materials are ordered and available to support production and sales while maintaining inventory metrics.

What you'll do

• Own material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels.
• Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory.
• Reschedule materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (inventory control).
• Investigate and resolve daily shortage root causes.
• Partner with suppliers on packaging needs and min/max planning and replenishment.
• Conduct daily walks on the floor and receiving dock to resolve receiving issues.
• Manage phase-in/phase-out (NPI) to minimize obsolete materials.

What you'll need

• Readiness to work toward a degree level qualification in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical engineering.
• Working knowledge of MRP is required (Oracle and Digital Cockpit knowledge is targeted).
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Respective systems knowledge includes Oracle and Oracle/Digital Cockpit expertise.
• SAP knowledge is mentioned as an advantage.
