Underwriter - Senior Vice President

Overview

Senior Vice President, Underwriter (Hybrid) responsible for end-to-end credit underwriting and first-line defense credit approval within Citi’s Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Credit Underwriting function.

What you'll do

• Execute underwriting responsibilities, including end-to-end underwriting from early discussions to credit approval memos and senior approval forums.
• Perform detailed reviews of financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, risk ratings, and related analysis by junior resources.
• Review and approve Credit Approval Memo (CAM) packages.
• Partner with Front Office on structuring and production of term sheets for new transactions.
• Support credit monitoring through periodic/material transaction reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring responsibilities.
• Support ICM Underwriting organization strategic initiatives/projects as required.

What you'll need

• 10+ years risk/credit-related work experience in banking/financial institutions.
• Senior credit approval authority covering large and complex underwritings and capital commitments.
• Exposure to global credit risk management standards.
• Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing/product structures.
• Proven ability to engage with regulators and internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk.
• Bachelor’s/university degree; Master’s degree preferred.
