Urban Planner II

Overview

Urban Planner II to lead small to medium urban planning projects and work packages under senior supervision, delivering spatial planning and analysis outputs.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of small to medium Urban Planning projects and work packages.
• Develop spatial planning and regional planning analysis concepts using ArcGIS, 3D, and digital mediums.
• Conduct spatial and urban analytics from demographic, socio-economic, land use, and spatial datasets.
• Manage dataset collection, validation, integration, and management from multiple sources.
• Develop reproducible analytical workflows and maintain spatial databases.
• Produce drawings, graphics, models, and reports across baseline assessment to implementation stages.
• Lead Middle East projects with design and delivery ownership and report to the Practice Lead.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning/Urbanism is required.
• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in Spatial Planning/Regional Planning/Master Planning is required.
• Must have good experience delivering Spatial Planning, Regional Planning, and Urban Planning projects.
• Strong understanding of statistics and predictive analytics is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS tools (QGIS or ArcGIS) and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator is required.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency is required.
• Candidates with FME and Python knowledge are favored.
