Overview
Airbus is hiring a UX Designer to lead user experience and visual design for digital platforms, AI-driven tools, and complex enterprise software.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end product design from generative research and journey mapping to wireframing, high-fidelity UI, prototyping, and design system maintenance.
- Design AI/ML and computer vision workflows (e.g., visual data annotation platforms, spatial AI dashboards, real-time diagnostic interfaces).
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative UX research and usability testing to validate complex workflows.
- Define, govern, and scale design systems and component libraries for consistency across lab applications.
- Create interactive high-fidelity prototypes to communicate micro-interactions, motion design, and complex data visualizations.
- Collaborate with product managers, machine learning engineers, and full-stack developers for feasibility and execution.
What you'll need
- 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end product design, UX research, interaction design, and enterprise/AI tool interfaces.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least one recognized professional UI/UX design certification (examples listed).
- Expertise in design and prototyping tools including Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and tools such as Principle/ProtoPie/Framer.
- Ability to run end-to-end UX research using tools like Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, or contextual interviews.
- Knowledge of information architecture, wireframing, micro-interactions, and visual hierarchy for data-dense applications.
- Working understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS/Tailwind, and React/Vue) and accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
