Overview
Own the end-to-end UX design for native mobile customer journeys at Lloyds Technology Centre, Hyderabad, turning agreed product scope and customer needs into clear, accessible and implementation-ready experiences.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end UX design for native mobile customer journeys, turning agreed product scope and customer needs into clear, accessible and implementation-ready experiences.
- Define complete journeys from entry point to final outcome, covering the main flow, alternative paths, failure scenarios, security touchpoints, communications, exit states and recovery behaviour.
- Create low-fidelity wireframes to validate journey structure, flow, content hierarchy and business process before progressing to detailed visual design.
- Produce high-fidelity mobile designs and clickable prototypes in Figma, specifying components, typography, spacing, colour, platform patterns, final copy and expected interaction behaviour.
- Define the application information architecture and navigation model, including primary and secondary navigation, screen hierarchy, contextual navigation, back-button behaviour, notification entry points and logged-out versus authenticated states.
- Work closely with GmbH Product, the LTC Product Owner, Architecture, Engineering and QA during story refinement to resolve journey, design, feasibility and implementation questions before development starts.
- Specify identity and authentication experiences including registration, first login, credential creation, MFA, biometric enablement and login, device registration, lost or replacement devices, recovery, session expiry and step-up authentication.
- Design for German localisation and future internationalisation, considering string expansion, dates, decimals, currency, names, addresses, regulatory content, legal notices, dynamic font scaling and layout behaviour.
- Embed accessibility requirements into design specifications, including semantic hierarchy, screen-reader labels, focus order, touch targets, contrast, text resizing, error identification, input assistance, timeout handling and motion considerations.
- Define all relevant screen states, including loading, empty, success, partial success, validation, business and technical errors, timeout, lost connectivity, maintenance, expired authentication and unavailable backend services.
- Provide clear design handover material for engineering refinement and implementation, including behaviour notes, component usage, content, accessibility and acceptance expectations.
- Carry out design QA during development, comparing implemented journeys with approved designs and working with Engineering and QA to resolve experience gaps before release.
What you'll need
- Professional experience designing native mobile applications across Android and iOS, with a portfolio demonstrating complex end-to-end customer journeys rather than isolated screens.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including wireframes, high-fidelity design, interactive prototypes, component libraries, variants and developer-ready design specifications.
- Practical knowledge of mobile interaction patterns, information architecture, navigation, responsive behaviour and platform conventions for Android and iOS.
- Experience translating product scope, customer needs, business rules and regulatory constraints into clear journey flows and detailed interaction specifications.
- Ability to define happy paths, alternative paths, errors, loading, empty, offline and recovery states so Engineering does not need to resolve design gaps during implementation.
- Strong understanding of inclusive design and mobile accessibility, with the ability to specify behaviour that Engineering can implement and QA can verify.
- Experience designing authentication and security-sensitive journeys such as MFA, biometrics, device registration, reauthentication, session expiry and account recovery.
- Experience designing for localisation and internationalisation, particularly layouts and content that must support German text, local formats and future languages or markets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Product Owners, Architecture, Engineering and QA, and to participate actively in backlog refinement and delivery discussions.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain design decisions, document expected behaviour and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Design handover packs and design-QA findings aligned to engineering delivery waves.
Nice to have
- Experience designing digital banking, payments, account servicing, secure messaging or other regulated financial-services journeys.
- Knowledge of service design methods and current-to-target journey assessment.
- Experience working with mobile design systems and selecting or extending reusable components with Engineering.
- Understanding of API and data constraints and how backend availability affects customer journeys, screen states and recovery behaviour.
- Experience supporting agile delivery through Jira stories, refinement sessions, acceptance criteria and sprint-based design sequencing.
- Working knowledge of usability testing, customer research and evidence-led design iteration.
- Familiarity with Android and iOS accessibility capabilities and platform-specific interaction guidance.
