Vice President, Platform Engineering

Overview

Vice President, Platform Engineering is a Pune-based technology leadership role with dual responsibilities: serving as the single leadership point of contact for Pune colleagues and providing overall technology leadership for the Pune team.

What you'll do

• Coordinate multiple technology deliveries to align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources while collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile frameworks.
• Act as the local leadership and escalation point for Pune-based colleagues and connect with UK People Leaders.
• Communicate future-state business and technology architecture direction to stakeholders.
• Strengthen employee engagement for Pune-based colleagues and enable their inclusion in local activities.
• Drive improvement initiatives across design and implementation to reduce time to deployment.
• Partner with security, A&T, database and platform teams to maintain architectural standards and operational resilience.

What you'll need

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi-national technology or payments environment.
• Proven strategic thinking to set direction and translate business/technology objectives into plans.
• Experience leading teams working in Agile methodologies, including SAFe Agile frameworks (iterative planning, cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement).
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior executives, technical teams, support functions, partners, vendors, and regulators.
• Experience leading and developing diverse matrix teams directly and indirectly with clarity and accountability.
• Commercially aware and financially disciplined experience managing resources and budgets.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making to identify risks and resolve barriers.
