Vice President, Strategy, India

Overview

Vice President, Strategy (India) responsible for end-to-end strategic planning for a global brand portfolio, brand activations, and consumer media journeys.

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end strategic planning for brands, brand activations, and consumer media journeys.
• Apply business growth models and marketing frameworks to design custom marketing roadmaps.
• Collaborate with client specialist teams and external partners to bring partnership ideas to life as IP/programs/platforms and partners.
• Present WPP Media’s perspective to senior client stakeholders including CMOs and CEOs.
• Work with cross-functional regional/local specialist teams on planning, activation, data, and measurement.
• Own strategic project approval through closure until the execution handshake.
• Interpret data/tool outputs to develop end-to-end briefs and strategic recommendations.

What you'll need

• Minimum ~10–15 years of progressive leadership in strategy, planning, consulting, or media roles.
• Experience in tools like TGI, GWI, and AOP & scenario planning.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Expertise in media and platforms.
• Persuasion and negotiation skills to gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.

Details

• Location: Mumbai, India.
• Hybrid approach described as teams in the office around four days a week.
• This role reports to Strategy Head.
