Overview
Seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to support engineering, fabrication, and technology execution projects across project phases.
What you'll do
- Own design, specification, selection, and services for mechanical equipment including rotating machinery and pressure vessels.
- Plan and schedule engineering work using independent evaluation of techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) for multiple material types.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and other applicable codes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during fabrication, site commissioning, and plant shutdowns.
- Advise on material selection and weldability for corrosive and high-temperature service environments.
- Support technology development for advanced welding processes such as GTAW, SAW, and overlay welding.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of relevant welding engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in welding processes, metallurgy, and industry standards.
- Mandatory CSWIP or equivalent welding certification.
- Knowledge of ASME Section IX, API, and AWS codes and standards.
- Understanding of corrosion mechanisms (API 571) and material behavior in chemical processing environments.
- Ability to solve problems, analyze, and communicate effectively.
