WLAN Firmware - Staff engineer

Overview

Staff engineer role on the WLAN firmware team, covering software architecture, design, development, release and maintenance of WLAN firmware features.

What you'll do

• Work on software architecture and design for WLAN features in firmware.
• Be involved in development, release and maintenance of WLAN firmware.
• Work with peer teams to define SW interfaces.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 9+ years of experience in design and implementation of embedded software/firmware for networking/wireless products.
• Expertise in C programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong architectural skills: design/implement for performance, modularity, and portability.
• Excellent team communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with 802.11 protocol.
