Overview

Packet forwarding developer role working on networking data plane and control plane components, owning delivery of assigned modules.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain packet forwarding software covering L2, L3, VXLAN, MCT, ACL and QoS.
• Program BCM-based XGS and DNX family chipsets.
• Apply routing algorithms and data structures to forwarding and control plane components.
• Develop embedded software on Linux operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug memory leaks and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and handle complete delivery of the component or modules you own.
• Work with multi-site project teams.

What you'll need

• 8-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of networking data plane forwarding concepts: L2, L3, VXLAN, MCT, ACL, QoS.
• Strong understanding of routing algorithms and data structures.
• Strong understanding of control plane networking concepts.
• In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems and embedded software development.
• Excellent programming knowledge in C.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn on the job and take up challenges.
• Ability to be productive in flexible and dynamic work environments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience programming BCM-based XGS and DNX family chipsets.
• Exposure to GO and microservices architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging memory leaks and performance bottlenecks.
