Account Executive - US

Overview

Drive new revenue for Alpaca's institutional Broker API business across the United States. Manage consultative enterprise sales cycles with financial institutions from prospecting through negotiation and close.

What you'll do

• Own the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
• Build and manage a pipeline through outreach, referrals, conferences, partnerships, networking, and inbound opportunities.
• Develop relationships with decision-makers at fintechs, broker-dealers, RIAs, wealth managers, banks, and other financial institutions.
• Understand prospect business objectives and technical requirements to position solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations, business presentations, and commercial proposals.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Product, Integrations, Marketing, Customer Success, and Legal.
• Maintain pipeline data, forecasts, and account activity in Salesforce or another CRM.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience selling technology or financial services solutions to financial institutions.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
• Series 7 license.

Nice to have

• Experience selling APIs, developer platforms, or financial infrastructure products.
• Experience with clearing broker-dealers or brokerage infrastructure providers.
• Familiarity with brokerage, securities trading, wealth management, or capital markets.
• Experience with startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Existing network within the US fintech ecosystem.
• Series 24, 63, or 65 licenses.

• Remote role serving clients primarily across the United States.
• Preference for candidates located in New York, Chicago, or Austin.
