Account Placement Specialist

Overview

Account Placement Specialist at Wing Assistant, managing the end-to-end client engagement process from intake and discovery through close, candidate matching and post-close onboarding.

What you'll do

• Understand potential customer input through intake forms and quickly use organization-wide ATS systems to find candidates matching the required skillset.
• Interview candidates to ensure fit for what the potential client is looking for.
• Run full discovery calls and qualify what the client actually needs, then present Wing's value and bring live, vetted candidates directly into the call.
• Read the room and close while interest is highest, proposing next steps before the call ends and formalizing the deal in Discord/JRF within 30-60 minutes.
• Keep the idle candidate pool current and taggable by role, industry and availability, so 2-3 credible matches can be pulled from a loose brief with 10-30 minutes' notice.
• Confirm candidate availability at T-24h and again at T-30min, and always have a backup identified before the call.
• Finalize compliance and formal matching once a deal closes, and keep CSM/TA aligned on onboarding status in real time.

What you'll need

• Has personally run outbound/discovery through to close, not just handed off qualified leads.
• Recruiting or sourcing experience with genuine same-day turnaround, not multiday pipelines.
• Comfortable improvising live: can steer a call and brief a candidate in 10-15 minutes on the spot.
• Fast and responsive by nature; minutes, not hours, is this role's working speed.

Nice to have

• Staffing, recruiting, or B2B services sales background.
• Already comfortable working async-first in Discord/Slack as the source of truth.
• History of maintaining a warm bench of backup candidates proactively.
• Track record of anticipating problems (candidate no-shows, client cold feet) before they happen.
