Advance Engineer -BSP

Overview

HARMAN is seeking a BSP Software Engineer to develop and validate kernel, drivers, firmware and board-support components for automotive technology platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop kernel and drivers.
• Support board bring-up.
• Modify device tree.
• Integrate subsystems.
• Debug issues.
• Validate firmware.
• Perform testing.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years experience.
• Relevant engineering degree.
• Linux kernel and driver experience.
• Boot flow knowledge.
• C/C++ proficiency.
• Debugging skills.
• Tool experience with adb and fastboot.
• CI pipeline exposure.
• Camera/display BSP experience.
• Boot chain experience with PBL/XBL, fastboot and EDL.
• Memory experience with DMA and SMMU/IOMMU.
• Experience with diagnostics tools including QXDM and ramdump.
• Firmware loading experience.
• Detailed debugging experience with dmesg and crash dump.
• Basic power management knowledge.
• Knowledge of peripheral protocols including I2C, SPI and PCIe.
• Strong technical skills.
• Problem-solving ability.

• Virtualization exposure.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Kalyani Platina.
• Work from Office environment with in-person collaboration; most office-based roles are onsite five days a week.
